Marin Smith
Marin is the farthest flung member of the di’velept crew, operating in Virginia. She is a native of northern Utah and received her Masters Degree of Architecture from the University of Utah. While in school she was heavily involved in community outreach programs which taught her the value of good design in all types and sizes of architecture. She strongly believes that design impacts everyday life and creates subtle ripples through cultures. If something is worth creating, it is worth designing well.
While pursuing her architectural degrees, Marin worked as a construction project manager intern at the University of Utah Campus Facilities Department where she was heavily involved in new construction and remodels on campus. After a few great years working primarily on K-12 education projects at VCBO Architecture in Salt Lake, Marin and her husband, Austin, decided to move their family to southern Virginia to further Austin’s career. With new roots and a young family Marin was grateful to find a perfect fit to her architectural philosophies and lifestyle at di’velept. Marin appreciates the value the di’velept puts on designing each project well, no matter the size or prominence.
